TDK is a well-known electronics industry brand and has always held a leading position in electronic raw materials and components. The founder of TDK, Kato and Goro, and Dr. Takei Takeshi, founded the Tokyo Electric Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Denkikagaku Kogyo KK) in 1935. The name was formerly known as the Electrochemistry Department of Tokyo Institute of Technology. Dr. Kato and Dr. Goro and Dr. Takei Takeshi taught at the Electrochemistry Department of the university. In 1983, the name was officially renamed to today's TDK Co., Ltd., taking the initial name of Tokyo (Tokyo) Denki (Electrical) Kagaku (Chemical), and began to engage in the commercial development and operation of this magnetic material.
